Meredith photos.. they're coming.. even the possums are anxiously awaiting their arrival. Are you excited? I am. Keep checking back here this week and next for a glimpse into the beauty and madness that is Aunty Meredith.
Now this is my kind of busking.. art, right before you're eyes. This chiller hangs out in Circular Quay, draws for your entertainment and all he asks for in return in a few coins so that he can afford to keep doing it. You got it right bud.. if I were as good as you, I would too. [disposable camera]
Some say that if you are walking under a Jacaranda tree and one of the blossoms falls on your head you will be favoured by good fortune.. beautiful and magical. [top: Holga 135, middle & bottom: disposable]
Not at all what I was going for.. but failure, at the very least, is a learning experience. Next time I will get it right, but for now this is what you get to see.. my first attempt at playing with neon lights. Still kinda cool I'd say (after stewing over it for a couple days, haha).. Holga 135 & Lomography 100
Incase you haven't heard it from me enough through Facebook (jessicaashleyunknown) and Instagram (jaunknown), I'll say it again.. there is FREE art to be had in Wollongong all this week! The wonderous woman behind ADart (yea Kate!) has been working hard to create an artistic movement in the 'gong and this is just the beginning. Find my three photos below on coffee cups, bags, info-cards and online!
Found on small info-cards that compliment the free art drop
Find this one stuck on your coffee cups and shopping bags at paticipating local bussiness
Visit ADart to see the complete list of participating businesses and check out the work of the other 15 artists who have joined the movement - some seriously awesome stuff happening here folks! Like ADart says - We like art. Anywhere & Everywhere.
What a nice way to brighten someone's day. Art on the escalator. A corn family holding hands. Some pumpkins and green beans about to brawl. I find that it's little things like this, which usually go unnoticed, that deserve most to be photographed. I had a disposable with me this time.
A walk through the botanic gardens. A dog following us along the way. Some flowers. Lots of sun. Holga 135. Lomography 100. The perfect combination to catch a whisper of our little friend in an MX. No help from Cesar Millan needed.
So, I know I have put up this photo before in my 'Flower power' post, BUT I wanted to share it with you all again because I have recently entered it into the Centre for Contemporary Photogaphy's 2012 Kodak Salon. That is to say, I have entered it in Australia's largest open-entry, photo-media exhibition and compeitition! If you are in the Fitzroy, Victoria area be sure to head along to the exhibition, being held from November 22 - December 15, and check it out for me! I will be sure to let you all know how it goes but if you want to find out fast, follow me on Facebook! You can find my new page using the link just to the right of this post! More info on the Kodak Salon can be found here if you're interested: http://www.ccp.org.au/kodak_salon_2012.php.
Sometimes it's the random things that you find day to day that are the most picture worthy. From love and happiness to honeycomb on the streets. Open your eyes people, there are things worth seeing everywhere. Diana Mini & Lomography 800.
